Chriet Titulaer was a futurist avant-la-lettre and played a seminal role in popularising science in the Netherlands. To immortalise the man and his work - and celebrate his 75th birthday - a statue was erected in his native village.
In Hout-Blerick, right next to where TV icon Titulaer first saw the light of day, a sizeable retro TV cabinet containing an animated hologram of Chriet was raised. It shows a selection of famous clips, while his holo version talks about what makes the worlds of science and technology so incredibly fascinating. An immortalisation that is every bit as contemporary and innovative as the man himself once was.
