Ode to the Limburg Landscape
To revitalize tourism in Limburg after the COVID-19 pandemic, Periscoop Agency partnered with Stichting Het Limburgs Landschap and Canon Production Printing to create an innovative campaign, “Ode aan het Limburgs Landschap.” The campaign aimed to bring the beauty of Limburg's landscapes directly to people's homes through unique, sensory-driven products.

Strategy
Instead of traditional marketing, the campaign leveraged the theme of the NBTC's "Ode aan het landschap" year by showcasing five iconic Limburg landscapes through various artistic mediums—each designed to engage the senses. This approach aimed to attract a younger audience and inspire both local and international tourists to connect with Limburg’s natural beauty.
Approach
Periscoop designed five unique products, each representing a different landscape: Peelven herbal tea, a vinyl record capturing the sounds of the Kalkgraslandschap, a painting depicting the Heuvellandschap, a clay mask made from Maaslandscape clay, and a perfume mist evoking the scent of the Maasduinen. These limited-edition items (90 of each, celebrating 90 years of Stichting Het Limburgs Landschap) were crafted to offer a piece of Limburg that people could experience at home.
Result
The campaign successfully raised awareness about Limburg's landscapes, creating an emotional connection with the public. It provided support to local tourism businesses by allowing them to use the campaign’s visuals freely, helping drive tourism back to the region. This project not only celebrated Limburg’s natural heritage but also offered a fresh way to experience and appreciate it.
