How to recruit talented staff in today's career market? Ask your future employees!
It is a familiar issue for companies worldwide: how can we attract top talents of the future? To find an answer, we organized a Gen Z Design Sprint in 2021 in collaboration with our partner FRGRND for the Employee Branding department of consultancy company Deloitte. It all revolved around one central question: what does the ideal recruitment and selection procedure look like for recently graduated potential employees?
To find a solution, we went through all the design process steps at lightning speed. From conducting research among 100 students to brainstorming, coming up with ideas, developing examples to illustrate how potential employees can be approached through social media, developing prototypes for new forms of job interviews, and testing the above in various focus groups. In consultation with our target group, we determined which innovations Deloitte should implement throughout the organization.
With a design sprint you go from idea to tested prototype in five days. Instead of working for months on an innovation, you go through the innovation process at high speed. After five days you will have insight into the needs of your user, realized a prototype and tested your initial concept. This way you know quickly and without major investments whether your concept is successful with the user and create immediate support within your organization.
